We had a group of 17 plus a baby and the property was perfect in terms of size for the group allowing for plenty of privacy and 4 bathrooms. The house is beautiful with amazing view of the rockies. House is right by entrance to the national park so very convenient. We loved the deck, fireplaces, grill and hot tub. Large table to seat the whole group was awesome and large kitchen open to living room (and pool table in between) so we could all hang out during meal prep. Game room was fun too! We would return again!
We were a group of 18 and the accommodations were perfect. With plenty of room for sleeping, eating, and playing, we never felt like we were falling over each other. Even though the weather was perfect we would have had just as much fun on the trip if we were snowed in. The kids had a blast playing basketball inside. The hot tub was perfect for the adults at night. And you couldn't take your eyes of the view. All I could think of while we were there was when we could come back. Estes Park has so much to do near by that we never had to travel far for outdoor entertainment. The icing on the cake was how attentive the owners were. They were available for any questions or concerns of which we had none. If you have a large group, stop looking and book this place. You won't regret it!
We stayed in this property for three nights to celebrate our wedding. We had a total of 18 people and the place was definitely big enough for everyone! We got married at Lily Lake, which was only about 15 minutes away. The location of the house was perfect! We were all mostly from FL and got some snow when we stayed in Estes Park, so we didn't want to drive very far. The views surrounding the house was phenomenal, specially when it snowed! We also got to see some elk hanging out both in the back of the house and also in the front yard! Julie was very helpful and accommodating with everything we needed. She also had some great suggestions on what restaurants to try in the area. Her property also has all the household supplies you'll need. We bought groceries for the weekend and all the kitchen gadgets and appliances you'll need is in the house. They even have two coffee makers, which came in very handy for a party of 18! Absolutely had an amazing time here! Would definitely be coming back when we visit for our anniversary :)
The house is in an amazing location with incredible views and a 5 min drive to the park entrance means you can pop in whenever you want. But with all the activities (basketball, air hockey, pool, foosball, hirseshoes, hottub) you can stay home and have a great time too. The house has everything you need and the owners are lovely and attentive. No complaints!
We had a large group of Friends with small kids there too. This is a great house and a LOT of fun. Basketball, air hockey, foosball, ping pong etc. Beautiful setting with spectacular views. Large house with plenty of room to spread out for a big gathering. Also appreciated the large dining table for 14 for our nice dinners. Would definitely go back.
We came to Estes to celebrate my Mom’s birthday! The house was amazing, the views were spectacular and you could not get any closer to RMNP! Almost every room in this home has a view of the mountains! We enjoyed all the amenities especially the pool table and the basketball court. The home was ideal for us because it allowed us all to be together but had enough room for us to spread out. The bedrooms were very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We cooked several large meals in the kitchen and really enjoyed the large table that sat 14 easily! It was the best stocked kitchen we have seen in a rental home with many dishes and appliances. We especially loved the full sized refrigerator and freezer. We loved this home and plan to come back. Julie was so easy to work with. She checked in with us when we arrived and made sure we could contact her if we needed anything. This is an amazing place to soak in the wildlife the views of Rocky Mountain National Park. A great time was had by all! This trip will not be forgotten!
This place was immaculate and the views are breathtaking. Our family decided to meet in CO last minute and we had to find a place that was large enough to hold us. The owners were super nice and easy to work with and provided everything we needed without any issue. The house was very clean and everything was in order. I especially enjoyed being outside and the decks provided a panoramic view of the mountains. The price was not too high considering the size of our group cause we certainly could not find a nicer place for less than we payed per couple. Will be back soon....Thanks Julie and Scott!!!!
Our family gathered to celebrate our mom's 90th birthday. Hard to find a lovelier place to accomodate all of us- arriving from all over with an age spread of 1 year olds to a 90 year old! We all had space and lots of activities available right under the roof as well as being so close to the gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park. Julie was so helpful, easy to work with and I would love to recommend staying at her fabulous home!
This property is located very close to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park, and has spectacular views from virtually every room. The house was very well equipped for a large group, the bedding was very comfortable, and there were plenty of "toys" for our kids of all ages to enjoy throughout the week. The owner was very attentive and informative.. Our group enjoyed lots of hiking, a horseback trail ride, golfing, and walking the downtown. This is a high recommend house for large family gatherings or groups of adults looking to share a special vacation home.
To sum up this property in one word: WOW! Perfect for a family reunion. We rented as two couples. With the 2 king bedding rooms upstairs we both had sufficient privacy. Great location to the park. But if the weather is rainy the home boasts ample games and family fun activities. The home is equipped with all the cooking gear you need. House is clean and well maintained. Back deck fire pit wasn't working so the property manager came by with a new one. Lower level spa was heavily chlorinated, however that was reasonable per the prior guests being a family reunion. Wildlife comes to visit every evening in the back. Such fun to see the deer and elk. This was our favorite rental over the 6 years we have come to Estes Park. We hope to rent it during our stay next year.
Our family gathered from all over the U.S. to enjoy a week together in Estes Park. The Park Entrance Lodge was perfect! We enjoyed the view from the deck at all times of the day & night. The location boasts a beautifully dark night sky so stargazing is lovely. The spacious kitchen was a great gathering spot as each family group took turns cooking for the rest of us. The large dining table was busy at all hours of the day & night for meals, games, dominoes and crafts! We appreciated the ample supply of china, glassware and utensils & filled the dishwasher often. The bedding & towels, kitchen & cleaning supplies, instructions, & suggestions were all most helpful. We enjoyed trips into the national park for short hikes, a scavenger hunt, horseback riding, and even an hour with a professional photographer for some special family photos. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with lots of fun Bear and other wildlife accents that helped to make it feel a world apart from the city-life we left behind for a relaxing vacation. There are so many activities to enjoy without leaving the house! The pool table was a big hit with all ages & abilities! We brought a DVD with line-dancing lessons and had everyone from 12 to 80 yrs old practicing their dance moves in the large living room - around the pool table, through the kitchen and back! Ping pong was fun for hours and horseshoe tournaments entertained the guys. Bring your own portable speakers & satellite radio or CD player for music. Bring coat hangers to roast your marshmallows (& hang your clothes) and bags of ice to keep up with the needs of a large household. Our host provided a map of the layout of the 8 (!) bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to help us in making bedroom assignments. If you have folks who can't manage the stairs, they will appreciate being housed in the bedrooms on the main floor. The lower floor almost feels like a dormitory with many unique & comfortable bedrooms off of a long hallway. We were all family, so the shortage of bathrooms was easily accommodated; couples sharing the space might find it a bit awkward. Limiting the number of cars allowed in the driveway took some planning, but it is understandable from the neighborhood's perspective. We were visiting at the very end of the summer season, and found the neighborhood to be very quiet. Our week in Estes Park was filled with great times and made for many wonderful memories.
We have been to Estes Park several times and this was by far the best house we have stayed in! There were 15 of us (ages 1 to 80) and there was something for everyone. The location was perfect. Very close to the RMNP entrance and beautiful downtown Estes Park. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The basketball court/game room was a big hit with the younger kids while the adults enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, hot tub and my personal favorite, the fire pit overlooking the beautiful, majestic mountains! The owner, Julie, was very attentive and even called several times to make sure we had everything we needed. We are looking forward to planning another family reunion in Estes Park and making Park Entrance Lodge our temporary home again!
We had a marvelous time at the Park Entrance Lodge this past July. We had a large group of extended family and loved getting together at the end of the day to share dinner together. The kitchen was fabulous, one of the best, well stocked kitchens I've had the pleasure to cook in. The view was breathtaking. We were so lucky on our last day at the Lodge to see six elk with two calves wonder through the yard. Thank you to the owners for sharing this little piece of heaven.
Our extended family of 14 had planned a visit to RMNP for almost 2 years and at the beginning of our planning we chose this property. It was just what we needed! Great location! Tons of room to spread out! Tons of fun activities for the kids (of all ages) when we weren't in one of our adventures! We also appreciated the first floor accessible master suite for my parents as my mom uses a walker. This worked out great for her and she was very comfortable. The views were Fantastic and we could see the mountains from almost every window and every deck. We loved winding down at the end of the day by sitting in the hot tub or by the fire pit in the deck with smores. We even saw some elk and mule deer on the property! The kitchen had everything we needed and we ate dinner at the house every night which was extremely convenient. The big dining room table had room for everyone to sit together which was a huge bonus. It was also great having 2 living room spaces and enough bathrooms for everyone!! Julie (owner) was very responsive and we were able to reach her easily by phone/text. We didn't have any problems but she still make sure we were comfortable and called a few times to ask if she could help with anything. The location was awesome-5 minutes from the park, downtown Estes, and horseback riding. We would basis it again in a minute!!
Julia, It was great working with you. We are so glad you enjoyed our home and would love to have you back again sometime! Best, Julie
This house was perfect for our 3 generation family to help celebrate our 50th anniversary. We were with our 2 sons, their wives, and our 6 grandchildren ranging in ages from 13 - 20. The house is exactly as the pictures shows, but when actually there everything looks even better. We especially loved sitting around the fire pit on the deck together and taking in the extraordinary view of the mountains with the changing skies. We also loved the Great Room where we could all be together fixing a meal, watching TV, and playing game after game of Pool. The kids loved the basketball court and played many games of Horse. The Game Room and Sitting Room downstairs gave them time to themselves. There was more that enough room for all 12 of us. The dining room table let us spend some meals all eating together. It is beautiful. The house is decorated perfectly in the National Park theme. Julie was available to answer our questions. We would recommend this house to anyone. Julie and Steve, thank you for providing us with this perfect house for our family vacation.
We are so happy you enjoyed our home and all the amenities. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our home! We would love to have you back again. Best, Julie
My family had a Great time here! The house was everything and more than what we hoped for. It's very close to Rocky Mountain park entrance, had great views, lots of wild life to be seen, great deck and hot tub to relax after a long day of hiking. We also Loved the game room! The house is very well kept and Julie was great with communicating with me. If I needed anything she was able to help. I highly recommend this home :)
This was our 3rd year in a row to enjoy a family vacation in Estes Park at this incredible home. There are 17 of us in all ranging from 11 months to 86 years old and everything in between. It is the perfect set up for all ages. Plenty of space, plenty of entertainment, and spectacular views from the spacious decks. Once again the wildlife was plentiful. We had Elk and Deer in the front yard under the trees everyday. The location is excellent, right near the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and also close to Fun City and Estes Park's main street. The property itself is set up perfectly. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, the Master suite provides some "separation" from the others and is great for older parents because of the privacy it provides, the accessibility to the walk-in shower etc. My 86 year-old Dad stayed in it again this year which gives him an "escape" from all of the grandkids ! It has it's own private deck also. All in all, this is definitely a 5-Star property, with a 5-Star location, with 5-Star owners that provide excellent service. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful vacation in Estes Park !
Hi Rick, We have enjoyed having you these past three years! We love to share our home with families like yours. Best, Julie
We celebrated a friend's 50th birthday here and things could not have been more perfect. For starters Julie (the owner) is one of the most responsive VRBO owners I have ever communicated with. She was patient, answered all my questions throughout our decision process, provided ample information to assist us in making our decision and even after we chose this property and were in Estes Park, she was responsive, even to little not so important inquiries. She is truly concerned that the guests who stay at her property have a 5 star experience and we sure did. The house is AMAZING, from the mountain décor to the stocked kitchen, available games and things to do. The fact that most of the bedrooms have a theme was very unique and the details of the rooms, long basement hallway, living rooms were wonderful. We enjoyed every square foot of the house but really enjoyed the HUGE dining table that seats 14 which allowed our group to all sit down to dinners together. The decks and views are breathtaking even though we couldn't enjoy the decks as much as we would have like due to snow. We hope to go back each year or maybe every other year.
For starters...WOW! 6,600 sq.ft. of OMG! From the moment that we drove onto the property, I knew we were in for an amazing vacation. Walking through the front door, you're greeted with a beautiful "grand" room...living room and fireplace to your left, amazing and huge kitchen to your right...an open flowing space with a pool table, and doors leading out onto the main balcony with an absolutely stunning view of the Colorado Rockies. As we toured the house to see everything it had to offer (and to put "dibs" on rooms!), there was not a disappointment in sight. Lots of "oh wow!" and "this is awesome!" phrases were tossed around. The master suite is beautiful and the huge bathroom was incredible!! Every bedroom is spacious and has a spectacular view of the mountains. Just when you think you've seen it all, you turn the corner at the end of the hallway and you find yourself in the game room. Air hockey, foosball, and yes...an indoor basketball court! But wait...there's more! After having our jaws hit the floor from the inside of the house...we take a walk outside to see all the outdoor living space! Ping pong table, hot tub, horse shoe pit, fire pit, huge decks...need I say more? This house isn't just a house...it's like having your own private lodge! If you are reading this review, trying to make a decision about renting this property...BOOK IT!! Many thanks to the owners and I can't wait until we come back!!
Renting a home from VRBO was the best decision we could have made to gather our family and friends from Boston and San Fran to celebrate our marriage. Then, on arriving at Julie's gorgeous home in Estes Park, we knew we picked the perfect house too. Before even arriving, it was a pleasure communicating with Julie. She made everything super simple and stress free. Timely emails, clear instructions, flexible payment options and incredibly nice the whole time. Julie's house is really amazing. Just the right mix of country charms and modern amenities. I'm a chef so I really appreciated the ridiculously awesome kitchen! Plenty of room for all our guests, no one felt crowded. Tons to do without ever leaving the house from the fire pit to billiards to ping pong to a sick indoor basketball court. Downtown is 5 minutes away for easy dinner options. The thing everyone enjoyed most was the insane view across the valley that caught both sunrises and sunsets. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice at all. Thanks, Julie, for everything! We'll be calling you again for sure the next time we plan a get-together in Estes!
Stay at this house. You won't be sorry. There's so much room, you'll feel like you've rented a hotel. The dining table alone seats 14! There was plenty of room for our group to be together in the living spaces and spend some wonderful quality time together, and lots of room for us to spread out when we felt like it. The hot tub and game room were definitely highlights of the house. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Had my office holiday party in Estes Park. This home was perfect for us and we really enjoyed being there. We were lucky enough to see elk one day on the property and deer the next. What a treat. We also enjoyed all the shopping and great food. We had dinner at the Rock Inn and the food was really good. We also enjoyed a tour on Rocky Mountain Rush (Jeep tour) through Rocky Mountain National Park. Great time and getaway. I would recommend Estes and this beautiful home!
Our family (8 adults, 4 children) was blown away by the beauty of this property and the view! I don't think there's a better view anywhere in Estes Park, and watching the sunrises and sunsets from the warmth of the living area was a rare treat! We had ample room for the kids to play, and they really enjoyed the game room and gym. It was a really special time for us to re-connect and enjoy each other's company. The owners have put so many exquisite finishing touches on this home, and I can't think of much that would have improved our stay. We spent time in the park hiking around the lakes on snow-packed trails, the kids sledded on the back slope, and we girls enjoyed shopping in Estes Park, a lovely little town with great shops. Thanksgiving Day was a memorable one, with 6 inches of snow that fell ALL day! We enjoyed our feast in the long dining room with the whole family around the table! Thank you, Julie and Scott, for sharing your lovely home with us; we will want to come back for sure!
This beautiful mountain home was a perfect place for our extended family to enjoy a long weekend getaway. We all enjoyed the magnificent views from the extra-large decks, the spacious home, the cozy decorations and mountain themed rooms, the fully equip kitchen, the game room, and the cozy, comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for our large group to spread out and relax. The location was perfect for both shopping in Estes and hiking in the national park. Our only complaint is that the time went way too fast!
This was a wonderful home to spend our days and evenings getting ready for our youngest daughter's wedding in Estes Park. Waking up that first morning and looking out our bedroom window and seeing a bunny was so neat. We saw a herd of elk in the downtown area every day. Coming from an area with little wildlife present where we live this was a great experience. The home was great and we made use of all of the different areas and we were able to make use of the huge table for a family dinner our last night.
The house was a fantastic place for a gathering of three generations. There was something for everyone. We all loved our evenings on the deck around the fire. As chief cook and bottle washer, I appreciated the well equipped kitchen. A very special time was spent eating dinner at the dining table __ all 15 of us!
What a great place! We had several families in town and had lots of room for the kids and adults. Unfortunately it rained lots during our stay but everyone was entertained with all the houses added extras. The owners were great to work with and very helpful! My kids keep asking when we're going back and my response is "Hopefully soon!"
This was a great home in which to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary. We had 16 people with ages ranging from 4 to 79, and everyone enjoyed their stay. The house had plenty of space and activities available to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals and the dining room was able to seat us all. Very close and convenient access to RMNP. Wonderful views. The owner was very responsive to questions/helpful before and during our stay. I definitely recommend this vacation home.
Our family reunion was made even more special with such a great 'home' to stay in. I say home because it instantly felt comfortable and homey for all of us to relax and hang out together. There were so many things to do right at home that we always had something going on either basketball, air hockey contest, music, soaking in deck views, guitars, napping, it didn't matter. Great access to RMNP and Estes Village, yet felt like we were away from all the people and business when home. A definite Repeat location for all of us!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your house. We really enjoyed the beautiful views from every room in the house. One of the great things about the house was the size. We could all eat and be together or you could always have privacy also. The game room and basketball court was another plus. Great place to go to get away from it all.
Three generations of our family gathered for a reunion at this amazing property the first week of August. The three adult couples had rooms with king-size beds, so they were happy. The six children, ages 3 to 14, were able to spread out downstairs where foosball, air hockey and basketball court were, so they were happy. Win-win. The kitchen is fully equipped with a huge freezer/refrigerator and plenty of pots, pans, tableware and glasses. We all spent most of the day Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park or at the "Y" at day camp and gathered at the house in the afternoon where the kids continued their play. Perhaps my favorite thing about our stay at the house was all twelve of us gathering every night for dinner sharing our day and enjoying each other. That was a special time each day. Julie, the owner is great to work with. It was a wonderful week.
This is an excellent home! Perfect location, beautiful views. Tons of wildlife. Four generations of our family, 15 in all, spent the best week of our lives here. (Ages 1 thru 84) The room setup is wonderful and there are plenty of activities for all ages. The owners are wonderful to work with and very helpful. I would recommend it highly. The hiking at nearby Sprague and Bear Lake and Alberta Falls was great. We fished the river and Lake Estes. Kirk's Fly Shop was very helpful and we enjoyed our fly fishing excursion. The kids loved feeding the chipmunks at the top of the tram ride and loved the amusement park with the cars, big slide and miniature golf ! Wonderful home ! Wonderful vacation !
We celebrated our anniversary with our kids and grandkids. We had a fantastic time in Julie's awesome house!! The adults enjoyed the deck, the view, the fire pit and the fact that they could relax because there was so much for the little kids to do to entertain themselves! We loved every minute of our 7 days. Great location too.
Our large group of three families including seven children stayed at this lovely and spacious home in mid June. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out plus more! The views are amazing and the location right at the entrance to the park was super convenient. We especially enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the mountains. This is a great vacation home.
We had a wonderful family vacation with our children and grandchildren. I especially loved the changing mountain views from the deck. There was lots of wildlife and we all enjoyed the amenities of this beautiful home. The grand children all want to know when they can come back!
The beautifully decorated and spacious home was ready promptly for us. We had a reunion with ages ranging from 13-60. Great house for dining together and playing with numerous activities provided. The many ammenities were great for a couple rainy days. Wildlife (elk) greeted us upon our arrival and we saw deer and badger in the yard. Home was clean with lots of equipment to use in the kitchen. Laundry facilities were a plus. The deck with amazing views of Longs Peak had ample seating and provided space for meals if we wished (2 picnic tables plus extra seating for 6 more). Very convenient for shopping and accessing RMNP. Enjoyed Smoky BBQ and Bob and Tony's Pizza. Donut Shop is right around the corner-mmm. Rapid Transit Rafting was a great choice for our group down the Poudre river. Wished we could have stayed longer. Julie was available and very responsive to requests.
The house was perfect for us - especially the availability of lots of sports activities for our 6 grandchildren. We found that the things we wanted to do - hiking, rafting, biking - were all very accessible from the house. We both ate in and went out and liked being close to Estes Park - and especially to RMNP. It was a great experience for those of us who are used to the beach, rather than the mountains. Loved the wildlife that was really up close and natural. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and helping with suggestions for specific activities. The property was recommended to us and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Our trip to Estes Park was a winner. The house was wonderful. The rooms spacious and nicely furnished. Decks with beautiful majestic mountain views. My sister, her husband and their daughter met us there for a nice family get-together. We cooked meals in the up-to-date kitchen and also ate out at some of the restaurants in town. One nice thing was to go down the hill early morning and get fresh baked pastries and have them with coffee out on the deck. We walked, drove to Bear Lake, saw a bear, and lots of elk. There were so many things to do we could not fit everything in. Would we go back YOU BET!
This was an amazing house. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. Everything we needed in the house beside food was provided. The home was comfortable and there was plenty of room and plenty to do when we were at the house. We were given helpful hints on where we could find local restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay here again.
9 of us stayed here over New Year’s and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The house was clean, spacious and cosy. The view of the mountains was beautiful and there were endless things to do in the house. We enjoyed playing pool every day and the hot tub was lovely at night. We loved seeing all the animals walking around nearby every day and we would all highly recommend staying in this house. It was easy to find and get to – no problem with the snow either! Many thanks to Julie who was very helpful sorting out our booking, especially as we were coming from England!
We so enjoyed our time here with family and friends! The house was clean, easy to navigate and so much fun! We had 3 children with it who loved the space inside and out to play. The hot tub was great- clean, hot, and what a view at night or day. The view of the mountains was beautiful. We had a really special guest visit just below the cabin, a bobcat! The place is wonderful and will hopefully be back and would recommend this highly! Julie was pleasant and easy to work with.
Our family of 12 recently rented this property for a Holiday gathering. Everything was perfect for this type of event! Cooking in the kitchen was a delight, enjoyed the gigantic table for family dining, the fireplace was cozy with the fresh fallen snow, lots of room for kids to play, nice bathrooms and plenty of towels for everyone! Our favorite was the unexpected visitors. 4 huge Elk and 6 Deer who grazed around house! Our family voted this property #1 and definetly plan to go back!
Each Thanksgiving our growing family gets together and it is getting increasingly difficult to find a place with enough space (both bedrooms, bathrooms and living space) to accommodate everyone. This home has it all with room to spare! The kids rarely made it out of the basketball court and game room and when the grandparents got worn out from chasing the little ones, there was plenty of rooms to seek respite. We cooked a large Thanksgiving feast in the open kitchen and the large dining area let everyone eat together; no kids table needed (or wanted). Julie was very helpful not only with the house arrangements but with the area. Our family can't wait to go back!
This is our 6th year staying in this house with 3 other families and our children. After the recent flooding in Estes Park, we were a little worried about whether or not we would be able to even get to Estes this year. With the 2 main roads closed from flooding, the drive over the Peak to Peak highway is a little longer (about an extra 30 min. from the Denver Metro area). However, if you have to take a detour, it's not a bad way to go! The views are spectacular and the road is in good shape and not nearly as windy as Trail Ridge Road. Once we arrived in Estes, we found the vast majority of businesses to be open and ready for visitors. Over and over we had business owners thanking us for coming up and asking us to tell our friends to do the same! The house itself is perfect for our 4 families. There is so much for the kids to do and space for kids to get away from others when needed. Whether they are playing basketball or ping pong; working on a puzzle or going for a walk, no one is ever bored here! The house was also cleaner than it had been in recent years as well and we found the new gas fire pit on the deck to be a nice new feature. The house is centrally located between downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park, so if you are looking for something to do outdoors, or somewhere to shop, you are minutes away from both! If you choose to stay in, the deck is large enough for everyone to gather around the fire pit and watch the sunset over Long's Peak! This house has helped our families create lasting memories for us and our children and is part of a lasting tradition for us all.
This home is located right between Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. On the back deck you look out to see Longs Peak and the mountain range that surrounds this 14,255 peak. The home is equipped with everything you need including an indoor basketball court for the rainy days. The owners are easy to deal with and you will have a family vacation you will not regret. A great place to grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ personally and corporately.
We traveled from IA, AZ, MN and NE for a week in this beautiful house. When we moved in, we felt right at home and enjoyed all the amenities this home offered. The kitchen was very well equipped for a large group. The bedrooms were large and we loved the dinning table which seated 14 people. We enjoyed seeing the Elk travel past the home morning and evening. In the house, we enjoyed the pool table, game room, basketball court, hot tub, horseshoe court and living room (to go through). In the community we all thought the river rafting and shopping were hard to beat. An excellent brewery tour in Ft. Collins is the New Belgium Brewery. Julie was very easy to work with and ,would recommend this home to anyone.
We had a large family reunion with kids ranging from teenager to toddler and there was plenty of room and things to do to keep everybody happy. The location is perfect to be away from town but close that you were never far from any activities you want to do. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook large meals. The fridge was huge and held all the food we could fit into it without the need to use coolers. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody that is planning a large group gathering. The views of sunrise and sunset can not be beat!
To celebrate my husband's retirement, our three kids and five grandchildren stayed here for a summer week. What a PERFECT place to gather! With the basketball court, the foosball table, air hockey and pool table, the grandkids (ages 18-2) all had plenty to stay occupied. The park entrance is less than five minutes away, and we spent lots of time hiking and driving through it. Waking up to coffee on the deck viewing Long's Peak is hard to give up when it's time to go home. Everything about the listing was 100% on target. The owner was quick to reply to my questions and all the information you would need is contained in a descriptive, helpful notebook in the kitchen, which was the best appointed kitchen I have ever seen, especially in a rental. This was my fourth VRBO rental, and by far the best!
This home, located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, is the ideal rental for a large family. Just a few minutes from both town and Rocky Mountain National Park, I would absolutely recommend this property and would absolutely stay again. Meticulously clean and charmingly decorated with great attention to detail, this house is even more lovely in person than it is in photos. The owners are helpful, communicative, and strive to make your stay a pleasant one. The neighbors we met were friendly and welcoming. My children, ages 9 and 7, would not have left the house the entire week had we not dragged them out; the ping-pong table and hot tub were used daily, as were the air hockey and foosball tables and indoor basketball court!! Our entire family had fun challenging one another to games throughout our stay. As stated, the house is quite large, with an incredible master suite. There was plenty of room to both gather with family and to have personal space. Everything is well organized and there wasn't anything we needed that was not already there. We appreciated the discount card left in the binder and the hotel-style racks of travel brochures. The variety of dvds was impressive as well-- something for everyone. There were also games for a rainy day in the downstairs family room. If you visit Estes Park, you must do both Trail Ridge and Old Fall River Rd. drives, as well as hike the many incredible trails at RMNP. The women in the house loved Mary Jane's gift store in town. Ed's Cantina, the Egg and I for breakfast, and Smokin Daves were favorites, as well. If you visit Cape Cod and love Cuffy's, you've got to shop at Brownfields. The kids loved the go-carts and mini-golf at the EP Family Fun Center. To reiterate, this was a great home and we'd highly recommend it to anyone.
My family traveled in from the Boston, NH and California for our sons graduation at CU. We decided to stay in Estes Park instead of Boulder so we could all be together and enjoy the Park. The house was fully equiped and the accomodations were perfect. The home has so much space that at times you would think noone was occuping it. We enjoyed the hot tub, the game room and basketball court when the snow came down. We also enjoyed an 80 degree day on the deck catching some vitamin D. We hiked in the park on two days and on the first day we walked into town to try and adjust to the altitude before venturing out to the mountain. We highly recommend this home for family gatherings and we have been to alot of homes this one is priceless. The only fault we had was the dishwasher. Noone could tell if the dishwasher was running as the controls were hidden by the countertop.
The listing on this house is just as you see it. Very clean, very well maintained. Has every thing that you need to to stay at this home. plenty of room, you won't feel like you are all over each other. It is centrally located so you are right in the heart of things (just about 5mins from town) but once you get to the house is really feel like you are way up in the mountains. Getting to and into the house was very easy. The house has alot of things to do so if you don't feel like going into town you can always stay home and play in the game, room play pool or just soak in the hot tub. Had the best time. My daughter can't wait to go back.
This was the perfect place for our family reunion! Once a year our family gathers from all over the country. This is the first time we made the reunion a destination vacation, as in the past we'd all met at my parent's house. One of my siblings lives in Colorado, so we thought we'd give Estes a try, but we really wanted to find a home that could accommodate all 17 of us! There were 9 adults and 8 children, ranging in age from 2-13. This house was perfect! Our reunions are mostly about hanging around, catching up and enjoying great meals and this house offered the perfect space to do this and more! The kids LOVED the game room/ indoor basketball court. And I loved that the house was big enough that you could catch a nap in one side of the house when the kids were running around in the other side! The kitchen was fully equipped with all that we needed to prepare some amazing meals. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and I loved that I could have our boys in a bedroom right next to ours. The jacuzzi provided more entertainment and we loved taking walks in the neighborhood. We even found some good sledding areas in the neighborhood! Julie was great at checking in with us and making sure we were comfortable and having a fantastic stay. I can't recommend this home high enough! We look forward to coming back!
What an amazing home! Even with all of us, the house was very accommodating - well stocked, very clean, and lots of extras! The kids had lots of fun with the all the "toys" (pool table, hockey, foosball table and basket ball court) Something for everyone, so there wasn't any fighting. The town was so quaint and with lots of yummy resteraunts. And the views were breathtaking and we even got a surprise visit from deer mule and elk right in the yard. Thanks for sharing your spectacular house with us!
We had six of us staying for our annual corporate retreat and the home was perfect. We each had our own bedroom, the kitchen was big enough for our group meals, and the game room provided extra fun. In the summer, the outdoor deck would have been perfect for late evening star gazing. The home was clean and the new owner (as of December 2011) is very professional. (PS If you notice all the recent reviews from the same date, that is because the transfer of ownership wiped out the earlier ones. Don't be concerned!)
The Sew N Sews quilt group enjoyed the home very much, we had all of our meal in the home and the kitchen is great to work in. The view is like a post card, we had elk right out side the windows, gentle walking on there way. The house is going to be a great place for us for several years, with the two bedrooms upstairs. Thank you , see you next year
